There are currently 2 affiliated Nightstop schemes in Scotland.
Nightstop in Scotland
South Lanarkshire Nightstop
South Lanarkshire Nightstop is a part of the Rough Sleepers Initiative, with an office base in Hamilton. The scheme receives financial support from South Lanarkshire Council, and is the longest established Nightstop scheme in Scotland.
South Ayrshire Nightstop
Following much dedicated hard work by a voluntary management committee, funding for the scheme has now been secured from South Ayrshire Council, BBC Children in Need, and a number of other local trusts and organisations. A partnership has been established with Quarriers, one of the largest charities in Scotland providing a diverse range of services through more than 100 projects. Quarriers will line manage the scheme, in close collaboration with the Management Committee. The first Development Worker started work in January 2007, and it is anticipated that the scheme will become fully operational by mid 2007.
Scottish Churches Housing Action
Between 2001 and 2006, there has been a positive partnership between Nightstop UK and Scottish Churches Housing Action (SCHA) to promote the work of Nightstop in Scotland.
